Spider Compassion

Spider Compassion

While cleaning this morning, I inadvertently trapped a small and (admittedly!) very ugly, skeletal-like cobweb spider in my dust cloth. (Yes, it’s true that I actually adore most spiders, finding them and their spidery ways fascinating!) But the damage was done. This was clearly not a being who could fend for itself any longer. Common decency demanded that I help end it’s life as swiftly as possible. In the momentary pause before sending it on to Light, I sensed it’s terror. In response, I telepathed an apology, flooding compassion around the tiny form, and bid it good-bye. . . The moment the little one left form, a sweetness engulfed me, making me catch my breath in surprise!  Curious, I dipped into the dimension it had sprung from, coming face-to-face with the deva who tends this particular species of spider. She felt my unasked question, and responded thusly: “You have taught this one the lessons of self-responsibility and COMPASSION, and its Soul is...

Water Element(als) = Frost Faeries

When I was a young girl, growing up in a 100-year-old farmhouse, I used to study the frost patterns on the tall glass windows of my bedroom. Not just because of their outrageous beauty, although indeed they were that! But after spending much time observing their intricate and ever-changing needlework, a living language developed between myself and these delicate beings. I began to read the pattern of their lacy structure to such a degree that I could predict with certainty how the temperature either would or would not rise that day, or even whether or not the sun might be kept hostage by clouds throughout. All of my clothing choices during cold season were based on this interaction with frost at sunrise, and they never failed me. Only years later would I recall that my mother’s horror at a tornado I’d accurately predicted, alongside the onset of the angst of puberty, had brought this fascinating relationship to a halt. . . Frost coated my car’s windows, a thick filigree that would likely make me late for work in it’s clean-up. I cursed both it and the cold weather that produced it, as I scraped away like a mad woman. . . Hopping into my chilly auto, having left as much of it on the windshield as I dared, I stopped in awe as sunlight broke through and embellished the now glinting lace with depth and color. And remembered. As someone who teaches folks to be in relationship with the Elements as well as to trust Divine Timing and the beings who harness it, it was a wake-up call in many ways! Blaming the Water Element for my inability to leave for work on time, and the drama I created by doing that, was only one. Immediately I stepped back into that relationship. I recalled with LOVE all of the ways I find water exquisitely beautiful: babbling creek, a misty waterfall, snowflakes floating down like pirouetting ballerinas, the ocean foaming up to my bare feet, dewdrops clinging to every pine needle: “Choooooo, Choo, Chooooooooooo,” I sang to the frost, filled with the LOVE of watery beauty I’d built about me. Recognizing this Ancient Sound calling them, wrapped within my joyous relationship with their many elemental siblings, they rose as consciousness towards me, covering me with an effervescent energy not unlike that of many puppies lathering me with their kisses! Blissfully peaceful from this sweet interaction, I left “late” for work, only to arrive early! I’d forgotten we were opening at half past the hour that day. ....

Redefining Joy with the help of Nature Consciousness

Redefining Joy with the help of Nature Consciousness

TRY THIS: Close your eyes and recall moments in your life where you were FILLED with joy, and pause yourself DEEPLY in EACH of those memories, one after another. . . ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ . . . . . closing my eyes, I see my 11-year-old hands placing old-fashioned, shiny tinsel on our Christmas tree–I am by myself as I do this. The SCENT of the tree wraps ALL around me, embracing me with it’s HEAVENLY fragrance! ONLY the tree is LIT UP: I’ve turned the lights off in the room so that I can SEE through the bay windows behind it towards the outdoor LANTERN POST. It’s just past DUSK, and SNOW is falling so heavily that the lantern’s light barely pierces through. A fat and fluffy grey KITTEN beneath the Christmas tree’s branches calls my attention back into the room and my tinsel-hanging, as it SLAPS at a well-placed bell, RINGING IT over and over. . . caught up in it’s play, OBLIVIOUS to my PRESENCE. The BRILLIANTLY COLORED lights bedecking the tree add extra SPARKLE to both the shiny bulb ornaments and this silvery metallic tinsel I am hanging on the PRICKLY TIPS of this evergreen: one. piece. at. a. time. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ NOW–go back into YOUR joyous memories and notice this: How many of your five senses were involved: TOUCH, TASTE, SCENT, SOUND, VISUAL? Your focus on each of THESE creates your JOY! IN THAT MOMENT you were only IN THAT MOMENT. Nature Beings entreat us EVERYDAY to co-CREATE joy: SCENT from sunlight-warmed, dry pine needles, dewdrops HANGING on a spiderweb, a black ant pulling along an IMPOSSIBLY huge chunk of food, delicately CURLING TENDRILS of steam rising from your morning mug, clouds SUDDENLY part and MOONLIGHT POURS DOWN over a hillside, a creek chortles merrily along. . . splashing over, around and about Her tumbled rocks with sunshine GLINTING like DIAMONDS off Her waters! TAKE TIME TODAY (everyday!) to CO-create a FIVE SENSES connection with any aspect of NATURE that calls YOU to HER! (And, know THIS: exercising your five senses routinely both creates JOY AND calls in the CURIOUSITY (I love the Olde English spelling of this delicious, important word!) of many levels of ‘INVISIBLE’ as well as VISIBLE Nature BEINGS. They will start to RECOGNIZE and WATCH you with this very same CURIOUSITY that you are emanating, thus garnering the beginnings of TRUST to build lasting RELATIONSHIPS with their KINGDOMS. ....

Getting Noticed by Nature

Getting Noticed by Nature

Starting a relationship with Her and Her creatures both visible and invisible is remarkably similar to wooing a lover: pay attention to Her every day (not just when you find the time), have that attention flow from your HEART, not your brain (pour it out as FELT EMOTION, as true appreciation and thankfulness for how She graces your life, for how Her beauty has/does nourish you–not as thoughts about what you can get/take from Her). ALL Her creatures become curious when you do this, as most humans either hurry by (whether driving, walking, running) or help themselves (yank a weed, trim a bush) all their focus in their heads, like hamsters in a wheel. STOP when you catch yourself there. POUR all your attention on an aspect of Her that makes you catch your breath!!! (and if something hasn’t, you aren’t really...

The Awakening

The Awakening

THERE IS A FERVENT NEED AWAKENING NOW IN HUMANS AROUND THE WORLD TO BE ABLE TO SEE, FEEL, HEAR, AND COMMUNICATE WITH ALL ASPECTS OF NATURE, VISIBLE AND INVISIBLE. Deliciously, Nature feels the same way about forming relationship with YOU! But where to start? Here, simplicity is KEY. What aspects of Nature in particular make YOUR heart soar? NOT someone else’s idea, not what you’ve read/heard regarding how one must go about it for it to happen, not more books/classes before you believe you are ready (although, if strongly drawn, by all means read/take them!) YOU ARE READY RIGHT NOW, and so is NATURE. So, AGAIN, what specifically in Nature makes YOU feel joyous/peaceful/blissful/sensual/at home. REMEMBER: PASSION is the language of your SOUL. . . so it is vital to pay attention and trust YOUR OWN INSTINCTS about what aspects of Nature are calling YOU to THEM. This. Is. Personal. In my next posting we’ll have more information about following the call, but for this one, please take a moment and remember WHAT CALLS YOU, and, to help everyone wake up more to that, post it below to begin building the energy on the page. . . For me, there are many aspects–but OCEAN has called me to her my entire...
